Meet Our District Superintendent
Reverend Glenn D. Black was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. As a minister's son, he grew up in Indiana and Ohio. His wife Sharon is from southern Illinois, the daughter of a farmer and minister. They have three adult children, Mary, David, and Marvin and three grandchildren.
District Superintendent Black received his Bachelor of Religious Education degree in 1974 from God's Bible School & College in Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed his Master of Arts degree in 1990 at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. He pastored Wesleyan Churches in Miamisburg and St. Mary's, Ohio and Westport, Indiana. He served as editor of God's Revivalist magazine for nine years. He is the author of two books, Vital Christian Living and Paul Rees—Portrait of a Preacher, and the editor of two books, Devotions for a Deeper Life, by Oswald Chambers and An Empowered Witness: Sermons and Writings of Paul S. Rees. He has written numerous articles and Sunday School lessons. For three years he was the Assistant District Superintendent in the Indiana South District. He was elected District Superintendent of the Kentucky District in 1990.
